A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree.
Il y a longtemps, il y avait un pommier énorme.
منذ زمن بعيد ولى...كان هناك شجرة تفاح في غاية الضخامة ...
A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday.
Un petit garçon a aimé venir et jouer autour d'elle quotidiennement.

كان هناك طفل صغير يلعب حول هذه الشجرة يوميا ...
He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow...
Il s'est élevé à la cime d'arbre, a mangé les pommes, a pris un petit sommeil sous l'ombre...
وكان يتسلق أغصان هذه الشجرة ويأكل من ثمارها ...وبعدها يغفو قليلا لينام في ظلها...
He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.
Il a aimé l'arbre et l'arbre a aimé jouer avec lui.
كان يحب الشجرة وكانت الشجرة تحب لعبه معها ...
Time went by...the little boy had grown up,
Le temps a passé devant ... le petit garçon avait grandi,
مر الزمن... وكبر هذا الطفل ...
And he no longer played around the tree every day.
Et il n'a plus joué autour de l'arbre chaque jour.
وأصبح لا يلعب حول هذه الشجرة بعد ذلك...

في يوم من الأيام...رجع هذا الصبي وكان حزينا ...!
"Come and play with me," the tree asked the boy.
"Venez jouer avec moi," l'arbre a demandé au garçon
فقالت له الشجرة: تعال والعب معي ...
"I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more"
The boy replied.
"Je ne suis plus un gosse, je ne joue pas autour des arbres désormais"
Le garçon a répondu.
فأجابها الولد: لم أعد صغيرا لألعب حولك ...
"I want toys. I need money to buy them."
"Je veux des jouets. J'ai besoin d'argent pour leur acheter."
أنا أريد بعض اللعب وأحتاج بعض النقود لشرائها ...
"Sorry, but I do not have money...
"Désolé, mais je n'ai pas d'argent...
فأجابته الشجرة: أنا لا يوجد معي أية نقود !!!
But you can pick all my apples and sell them.
So, you will have money.
Mais vous pouvez choisir toutes mes pommes et leurs vendre. Ainsi, vous aurez de l'argent.
ولكن يمكنك أن تأخذ كل التفاح الذى لدي لتبيعه ثم تحصل على النقود التي تريدها ...
"The boy was so excited.
"Le garçon a été si enthousiasmé.
الولد كان سعيدا للغاية ...
He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily.
Il a saisi toutes les pommes sur l'arbre et est parti heureusement.
فتسلق الشجرة وجمع جميع ثمار التفاح التي عليها ونزل من عليها سعيدا ...
The boy never came back after he picked the apples.
Le garçon n'est jamais revenu après qu'il a choisi les pommes.
لم يعد الولد بعدها ...
The tree was sad.
L'arbre était triste.
كانت الشجرة في غاية الحزن بعدها لعدم عودته ...
One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned
Un jour, le garçon qui s'est maintenant métamorphosé en homme a retourné
وفي يوم رجع هذا الولد للشجرة ولكنه لم يعد ولدا بل أصبح رجلا ...!!!
And the tree was excited "Come and play with me" the tree said.
Et l'arbre a été enthousiasmé "Venez jouer avec moi " l'arbre a dit.
وكانت الشجرة في منتهى السعادة لعودته وقالت له: تعال والعب معي ...
"I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family.
"Je n'ai pas de temps pour jouer. Je dois travailler pour ma famille.
ولكنه أجابها وقال لها:
أنا لم أعد طفلا لألعب حولك مرة أخرى فقد أصبحت رجلا مسئولا عن عائلة ...
We need a house for ****ter.
Nous avons besoin d'une maison pour l'abri.
وأحتاج لبيت ليكون لهم مأوى ...
Can you help me?
Pouvez-vous m'aider ?
هل يمكنك مساعدتي بهذا؟
" Sorry",
"Désolé",
آسفة !!!
But I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches
To build your house.
Mais je n'ai pas de maison. Mais vous pouvez trancher de mes branches Pour construire votre maison.
فأنا ليس عندي لك بيت ولكن يمكنك أن تأخذ جميع أفرعي لتبني بها لك بيتا ...
" So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily.
"Donc l'homme coupe toutes les branches de l'arbre et gauche heureusement.
فأخذ الرجل كل الأفرع وغادر الشجرة وهو سعيدا...
The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then.
L'arbre était heureux de le voir heureux mais l'homme n'est jamais revenu depuis lors.
وكانت الشجرة سعيدة لسعادته ورؤيته هكذا ...ولكنه لم يعد إليها ...
The tree was again lonely and sad.
L'arbre était de nouveau solitaire et triste.
وأصبحت الشجرة حزينة مرة أخرى ...
One hot summer day,
Un jour chaud d'été,
وفي يوم حار جدا...
The man returned and the tree was delighted.
L'homme a retourné et l'arbre a été enchanté.
عاد الرجل مرة أخرى وكانت الشجرة في منتهى السعادة....
"Come and play with me!" the tree said.
"Venez jouer avec moi!" L'arbre a dit.
فقالت له الشجرة : تعال والعب معي...
"I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself.
"Je deviens vieux. Je veux aller naviguer pour me détendre.
فقال لها الرجل أنا في غاية التعب وقد بدأت في الكبر...وأريد أن أبحر لأي مكان لأرتاح ...
"Can you give me a boat?"
"Said the man".
"Pouvez-vous me donner un bateau ?" "A dit l'homme".
فقال لها الرجل: هل يمكنك إعطائي مركبا ...
"Use my trunk to build your boat.
You can sail far away and be happy.
"Utilisez mon tronc pour construire votre bateau. Vous pouvez naviguer loin et être heureux.
فأجابته يمكنك أخذ جذعي لبناء مركبك...وبعدها يمكنك أن تبحر به أينما تشاء...وتكون سعيدا ...
" So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat.
"Donc l'homme coupe le tronc d'arbre pour faire un bateau.
فقطع الرجل جذع الشجرة وصنع مركبه!!!
He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.
Il est allé naviguer et n'a jamais montré pendant une longue période de temps.
فسافر مبحرا ولم يعد لمدة طويلة جدا ........................
Finally, the man returned after many years.
Finalement, l'homme a retourné après plusieurs d'années.
أخيرا عاد الرجل بعد غياب طويل وسنوات طويلة جدا ........
"Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore.
"Désolé, mon garçon. Mais je n'ai rien pour vous désormais.
ولكن الشجرة أجابت وقالت له : آسفة يا بني الحبيب ولكن لم يعد عندي أي شئ لأعطيه لك ...

Non plus de pommes pour vous... "L'arbre a dit".
وقالت له:لا يوجد تفاح ...
"No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite
"The man replied.
"Aucun problème, je n'ai pas de dents pour mordre" l'homme a répondu.
قال لها: لا عليك لم يعد عندي أي أسنان لأقضمها بها ...
"No more trunk for you to climb on"
"Non plus de tronc pour vous pour s'élever sur"
لم يعد عندي جذع لتتسلقه ولم يعد عندي فروع لتجلس عليها ...
"I am too old for that now" the man said.
"Je suis trop vieux pour cela maintenant" l'homme a dit.
فأجابها الرجل لقد أصبحت عجوزا اليوم ولا أستطيع عمل أي شئ !!!
"I really cannot give you anything...
"Je ne peux vraiment vous donner rien...
فأخبرته : أنا فعلا لا يوجد لدي ما أعطيه لك ...
The only thing left is my dying root,"
The tree said with tears.
La seule chose laissée est ma racine mourante, "l'arbre a dit avec des larmes.
كل ما لدي الآن هو جذور ميتة...أجابته وهي تبكي ...
"I do not need much now, just a place to rest.
"Je n'ai pas besoin de rien maintenant, juste un endroit pour rester me reposer.
فأجابها وقال لها: كل ما أحتاجه الآن هو مكان لأستريح به ...
I am tired after all these years" the man replied.
Je suis fatigué après que toutes ces années "l'homme a répondu.
فأنا متعب بعد كل هذه السنون ...
"Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest,
"Bon! Des vieilles racines d'arbre sont le meilleur endroit(place) pour pencher sur et le repos,
فأجابته وقالت له: جذور الشجرة العجوز هي أنسب مكان لك للراحة ...
Come, come sit down with me and rest.
Eh bien, venez s'asseyent avec moi et le repos.
تعال ...تعال واجلس معي هنا تحت واسترح معي ...
" The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears...
"L'homme s'est assis et l'arbre était heureux et a souri avec des larmes...
فنزل الرجل إليها وكانت الشجرة سعيدة به والدموع تملأ ابتسامتها...
